Taize prayer is a reflective style of Christian worship practiced by the ecumenical Taizé community in France, characterized by the repetitive singing of simple harmonized tunes, interspersed with readings, prayers, and periods of silence. The singing of distinctive and much-repeated prayer chants during candlelit prayer services is one of its trademarks.
