On Our Knees Prayer and Fasting Campaign for the Dobbs Supreme Court Case
On January 22nd each year, the Catholic Church in the United States observes a day of Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children to mark the Supreme Court decision, Roe v Wade, on January 22, 1973, that legalized abortion throughout the United States.
In 2018, Mississippi passed a law protecting unborn children after fifteen weeks of gestation. This law was challenged and the case, known as Dobbs v Jackson’s Women’s Health Organization, is being heard by the Supreme Court. Oral arguments for the case were heard on December 1, 2021. A decision is expected in June 2022.
This a landmark case that could potentially overturn the decision of Roe v Wade.
Please join the On Our Knees campaign in prayer and fasting for the Dobbs Supreme Court Case on the 22nd of each month through June 2022. To join in prayer and fasting, we have attached a flier for posting and social media, which includes a prayer for the Supreme Court and ways to participate.
