The Advent of God: Hope for all Creation
Four Thursdays, December 1 – December 22
9:30 – 11:00 am EST (in-person only)
Rev. Gerry McKeon, SJ
Fee: $65 or whatever you can afford
This Advent into Christmas Retreat invites us to spend time in daily personal prayer reflecting upon God’s drawing close to all of creation. It is a time of waiting for the revelation of Christ when all creation will be filled with the very fullness of God (See Eph. 3:19).
In this Season of Hope, we are beckoned to open ourselves to the Divine indwelling who continues to be active in all of creation as the unfolding of grace upon grace. As we move into the final days of this retreat experience, we are given the opportunity to
contemplate the Incarnation as it speaks Emmanuel to us – “God is with us.’ Participants agree to pray privately for 30 – 45 minutes each day and meet for sharing.
Fr. Gerry McKeon, SJ is a Jesuit priest with extensive experience in spiritual direction and in offering the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius to men and women from all backgrounds. He has served as a chaplain at Ithaca College and Cornell University, and on the staff of Eastern Point retreat house in Gloucester, MA.
Keeping Watch – Day of Retreat

Please bring a bag lunch
Presented by Meg Castellini
Fee: $40, please bring a bag lunch
December offers chilly weather, shorter days and hours of holiday preparation. Likewise, Advent offers the gift of possibilities, the anticipation of new life and an invitation to bear light where there is darkness. Join retreat facilitator Meg Castellini as we take a closer look at the fulfillment of God’s promises and the hope we receive from Jesus’ promise to return. This retreat will shed light on how we prepare, keep watch, and actively take part in bringing life and light to our world. Fee $40, please bring a bag lunch.
Meg Castellini has been leading retreats in the Central New York area for the past 16 years. Meg brings new meaning to scripture as she provides experiences which enrich our understanding and further our contemplation. Meg has served as a hospital chaplain and is currently using her gifts as communications specialist here at the Center.
