“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through Him and without Him nothing came to be. What came to be through Him was life, and this life was the light of the human race, the light shines in the darkness and the darknes has not overcome it.” -John 1:1-3

Women’s Bible Study Tuesday Evenings

Walking with Purpose is a Catholic Bible study program that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We offer personal study and small group discussion that link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church.  So many of us are wrestling through the reality that life isn’t easy, even when we are doing the right thing.  Suffering can slam into us from left field, leaving us reeling.  This study provides a firm foundation to stand on no matter what life throws our way.  With an emphasis on healing and wholeness, Walking with Purpose is a personal and transformative study.

We hope to resume this study. Please call St. Patrick’s parish office at 607-722-1060, or email stpatrick@sta-sp.org  , with your interest.

Unlocking the Mysteries of the Bible for Youth

Many people want to read the Bible because they know it is God’s Word but give up because it is so complicated. The Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible study program helps you to get the “big picture” of the Bible by showing how fourteen narrative books of the Bible tell the complete story from Adam and Eve to Christ and the Church. In this study, presenter Jeff Cavins will show you how to read the Bible so that you can actually understand it. Aided by a unique color-coded Bible Timeline Chart that arranges the key people, places, and events of Scripture in chronological order, Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible will help you discover the story of salvation history and understand how you fit into God’s plan. The 8-session Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible study program includes video presentations that explore the twelve time periods of The Bible Timeline Chart. The next opportunity for Unlocking the Mysteries of the Bible is not yet scheduled. Please email stthomas@sta-sp.org with your interest or call 607-797-4015.
